Finally, after much ado, the glass goes in and the passageway windows are complete.

When compared to the original windows before the renovation…

Calcareo tiles take shape and form in the kitchen

Amazing new window frames now dominate the passageway and make a dramatic statement and change the apartment completely

and a very self satisfied, even smug, maestro de obra Ramon smiles after a really good days work !

Painting continues

and the master bathroom takes shape

As work continues, we’re having to remove around quite a lot of “stored” items. Never mind, the most important progress is the painting.

Plaster is applied to the walls to fix imperfections.

All kitchen plumbing is now finished and so cement is applied to seal over new water and gas pipes, before plastering.

Kitchen ceiling repaired

Repairs done to the old frames, involving much soldering and replacing of rusted metal, and now with the final pieces of the old glass removed, we await the installation of the new frames and then the glass in the passageway windows

Painting begins…

the undercoat already makes a big difference…

And after a trip to San Pedro, ceramic tiles (not these) have been selected…these just look so nice that we snapped a couple of photos

Work continues, dismantling the final part of the old aluminium window structure
